Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 June 2026
These terms govern your use of the Pattiny app and the pattiny.app website, both provided by Die Digitalen GmbH, Rautistrasse 60, CH-8048 Zürich, Switzerland. By installing or using Pattiny, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. You can reach us at hello@pattiny.app.
About Pattiny
Pattiny is a calm logging tool for iPhone and iPad. You keep one or more named lists, tap a colour to log a moment, optionally add a short name, and review patterns through heatmaps, weekly reports, and streaks. Pattiny is a personal instrument for noticing patterns. It is not a medical, diagnostic, or therapeutic product, and it makes no health claims. Do not rely on it for medical decisions.
Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Pattiny on Apple devices you own or control, in line with these terms and the Apple App Store terms. The app and its design, code, and branding remain ours. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app except where the law expressly allows it.
Acceptable use
Use Pattiny lawfully and as intended. Do not use it to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or harm others. When you use shared lists, only invite people you trust, share only content you are entitled to share, and respect the privacy of others whose moments may appear. You are responsible for the content you create and share through the app.
Your data and backups
Your lists, entries, and notes live on your device and, if you are signed into iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. We hold none of it and cannot recover it for you. Keeping your device and iCloud account secure, and maintaining your own backups, is your responsibility. You can export everything at any time from inside the app as a ZIP of CSV files, and delete everything from inside the app.
Pattiny Plus subscriptions
Pattiny is free to use for capture and core features. Pattiny Plus is a paid subscription that unlocks features such as shared lists, on-device AI summaries, the full-year heatmap with full history, and full export. A free trial starts the first time you reach a Plus feature. Plus may also be shared with up to five family members through Apple Family Sharing. Current prices and trial terms are shown in the App Store, where Apple displays the price localized to your region.
Billing, renewal, and cancellation
All subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage, cancel, or request refunds for your subscription through your Apple account settings, subject to Apple's terms. We cannot process payments, cancellations, or refunds ourselves. If you cancel or downgrade, you keep all your data; only the Plus features become unavailable.
Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue parts of Pattiny over time, and some features depend on Apple services such as iCloud, the App Store, and Apple Intelligence, which we do not control. We aim to keep the app working well but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Disclaimers and liability
Pattiny is provided as is and as available, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be free of errors or that it will meet every need. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data that you could have prevented through your own backups and use of the in-app export. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections.
Consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or elsewhere, your mandatory local consumer protection rights still apply and are not affected by these terms. Where any term conflicts with rights you cannot waive under your local law, that local law prevails for you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts at the seat of Die Digitalen GmbH in Zürich, Switzerland. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply where the law requires.
